Julia Volmer

Hello! I'm a software engineer who loves to understand and adapt the systems I'm interacting with. I'm working as a senior core C++ engineer at ArangoDB, doing things like introducing an async runtime, improving graph traversals or working on the execution engine. I spend most of my day in Emacs, in my private programming projects I use Rust everywhere I can and recently got interested in embedded programming. By training I'm a physicist. For my PhD in computational physics I worked on improving the performance of lattice field theory computations. I love singing, hiking in the forest and reading or listening to exciting stories.
